Welcome to Littlest Pet Shop Authentication!
Unsure how to identify if your pet is authentic or not? You've come to the right place! Here, you'll find guides for all main five pets! More molds may be coming soon, so stay tuned! If you're told a pet is authentic, ALWAYS get a second opinion. My personal recommendation is r/littlestpetshopfakes!

First things first, let's establish that there is two different shorthair cat bodies! The first features less rounded, flatter legs, and this mold was used from pets #5-#246! ALL pets you find with this mold are authentic, as there have been no fake shorthairs made with this mold!
Picture 1
Shorthair cats are known for their "bean" shaped heads! Their cheeks are very full, and their chins feel very prominent! Fake shorthairs have flatter faces, as well as less prominent chins!
Picture 2
While the number "C-031 G" isn't an immediate giveaway that a pet is fake, all shorthairs numbered #5-#410 will lack that number. Instead, they well have slightly differently sized text and only the year plus Hasbro China. All shorthairs numbered #468 and onwards will have C-031/C-031G on the bottom. 2249 will have C-015D on the bottom, due to being a Blythe pet.
Picture 3
ALL shorthairs, regardless of their age will have a circle around their hole or magnet. The prominence of this can vary, but it will always be there on both shorthair body types. The circle is large, and can be considered a secondary circle on shorthairs with holes.

Collies #58 to #363 will feature smaller copyright information. The text will also LACK the C-031. Collies numbered #893 and onwards have C-031, or C-031G. The text is also larger.
Pictures 1-2
ALL collies, regardless of age will feature a larger circle around their magnet or hole. This can vary in prominence, but will always be present.
Pictures 3-5
Regardless of age, all collies will have seam lines travelling up both sides of their body. They do NOT have a front seam. This seam can vary in how prominent it is, sometimes hardly showing up in photos, however you will always be able to see it. You may have to look closely in order to see it.
